characters that have never met make the best ships. no I totally ship dany/jon too. because FAMILY AND LOVE AND SECURITY they could give each other :’( i do kind of ship m/s but only in a “HMM INTERESTING” kind of way and lol yes I agree true blood

Y E S. I mean let’s be real, Jon’s two romantic interests~ have both been free women and who is more free than Dany??? Jon’s lust for her is going to melt the Wall down. 

I do kind of understand the M/S ship but I just… eh. I don’t trust the Tyrells. I love them because they’re awesome but at the same time I rooted for Cersei when she was plotting against them because they’re backstabbers.

right, a ship that deserves more attention: Dany x Robb (pre-Red Wedding for obvious reasons. heh.) ok so they haven’t met. big deal. Robb had the North and Dany has the East and they could have came together, destroyed the Lannisters and then fell in love and it would have been BEAUTIFUL. sigh. but tbh I sort of ship Dany with most of the Starks now? Dany x Jon (dodges bullets), Dany x Sansa, Dany x Bran (obvs when he’s older), whatever. I just want her to marry into the only stable family because it’s the one thing she’s never had and the one thing she’s always wanted. :(((

hmm, ok. I’m not really against most ships but I see a lot of love for Margaery x Sansa and I just… don’t get it? the Tyrells tried to frame Sansa and Tyrion for Joffrey’s murder, and let’s be real Margaery was clearly part of it. the only other fandom with a ship I don’t get~ is True Blood with Eric x Nora (and Sookie x a breathing person tbh).

help me I have so many feels recently, I ADMIT IT i dismissed her, no, well - never really thought abot her BUT NOW Ijust see her arc finding herself and just SURVIVINGbut then she has all that EXTRA stuff like maybe LEADING AND PROTECTING HER PEOPLE

but in all seriousness I think it’s understandable to dismiss her at first. I must admit that I was drawn to Dany as soon as I watched Game of Thrones (especially when she tried to rescue the Lamb Women — which she gets criticised for??? I know it wasn’t exactly successful but surely it was better than NOTHING??), but I never wanted her on the throne. but then she lost everything and turned everything around and became the most powerful person in the world.

I think that in the first couple of books she’s really just discovering who she is and becoming a much stronger, independent person (particularly in AGOT and ASOS). but then we see her lead and… well, it doesn’t exactly go according to plan, although she manages to create peace between Yunkai and Meereen for a very, VERY short time (which is better than anyone else has done in the series). the only real problem in Meereen was also caused by the great masters — they burned the olive trees, Meereen’s only good economic source. but she shows that she wants to protect her people so idk, I just really love her for it? “A queen does not belong to herself, but to her people” is probably my favourite quote in the series because it shows her views about leadership. I mean her role as a Queen is even more impressive when you think of everyone who has influenced her (Viserys, Jorah, Barristan … Daario?) and compare that list to other leaders in the series who also fuck up (Robb - Ned, all his bannermen, his mother; Jon - the Halfhand, the Old Bear, Maester Aemon, Mance Rayder, Ned).

daenerys is even younger than robb is- she’s allowed to make mistakes! that ‘dracarys’ scene is what made me really love her because i thought she was going to ignore jorah and hire slaves but she was better than that!

exactly! I think after ‘Dracarys’ I realised that no other character in the series was as perfect as she was. she risked so much, even though simply buying the Unsullied (I think she could have bought 2000 or so without the dragon?) would have been more beneficial to her.

I don’t really see this on my dash much but I know it’s sort of about elements and they bend them or something? idk, I know nothing. all I know is that the first time I saw the title I assumed it was a cartoon sequel to Avatar by James Cameron and I got angry because Avatar is just Pocahontas set in the future with blue aliens.   so yeah.
